Antaresia Python Hatchlings — “ants,” as Australian python keepers affectionately call them: hatchlings from the genus that includes Children’s, Stimson’s and spotted pythons. Care Basics
Start hatchlings in a small secure tub with snug hides — small snakes feel safe in small spaces, and safe snakes feed. A defrosted pinkie every 5–7 days now, stepping up prey size with growth; mice for life, never rats. Move to the adult vivarium around 12–18 months. Gentle weekly handling from the start produces the puppy-tame adult Antaresia are famous for.
